ViSparsh

People are really starting to do some life changing work using the Microsoft Kinect sensor. Take for example this latest team of developers and their viSparsh belt for the blind. The apparatus comes equipped with a kinect sensor that sends proximity data to devices embedded into the belt which trigger vibrations when approaching objects.

It's a brilliant idea that will help the millions of people who suffer from sight related problems. Couple this device with a cane and you'll be providing a great service to those less fortunate.
