MT-Kinect is a module developed by the multitouch, multiuser software initiative group at openexhibits.org. The module uses Kinect to manipulate multitouch applications using gestures apposed to a touch screen. They've added additional features by incorporating a gigapixel viewer that allows you to move the images and zoom in and out with basic gestures.
Technology being used consists of a Directshow source filter and a virtualized webcam that reads data from the Kinect sensor in order to convert the data to a multitouch compatible input that their gigapixel Flash application can read.
For more information, check their post on openexhibits.org
The software is free to download and use. You have to be an OpenKinect custom drivers installed. The gigapixel viewer also requires that you have either Open Exhibits Core or GestureWorks software installed as well.
