A while ago, we posted an article relating to Patricio Gonzalez Vivo's work with Kinect Core Vision, an application designed to send finger tracking data to TUIO, XML and TCP
The video goes through a mini tutorial of sorts explaining how to properly calibrate the Kinect sensor in order to focus on hands specifically so that the tracking is accurate. He then demonstrates how once things are properly calibrated, finger detection is possible by simply enabling the option from the settings interface.
The source can be download from his GitHub page at http://github.com/patriciogonzalezvivo/KinectCoreVision
